Retrospective analysis of the formation of the methodical concept of "exercise"

The article discusses the concept of the term “exercise” from the point of view of methodical science, presents the positions of leading methodologists. In the works of domestic methodologists, you can find terms such as “exercise apparatus”, “exercise system”, “exercise complex”, “exercise typology”, “exercise line”, “series of exercises”. A classification of the analyzed concept is proposed, as well as various approaches to the typology of exercises.
