Пищевод Барретта развивается в результате хронического дуоденогастрального рефлюкса и является фоновым предопухолевым заболеванием для аденокарциномы пищевода. Конфокальная лазерная эндомикроскопия - новая эндоскопическая методика, позволяющая получать в режиме реального времени in vivo гистологические изображения и выполнять прицельные биопсии, повышая тем самым диагностическую ценность процедуры. Исследование возможностей конфокальной лазерной эндомикроскопии, в том числе и при пищеводе Барретта, до сих пор находится на начальной стадии. Целью данной работы является освещение и систематизация имеющихся литературных данных об этиологии, эпидемиологии, клинических проявлениях и морфологической характеристике пищевода Барретта, а также анализ возможностей новых разработок эндоскопической диагностики при этом заболевании.
