Introduction. The aim is to substantiate the necessity of developing “Road Map” of organized cadets' self-guided work and to establish the possible structure of this document. Materials and Methods. General theoretical methods include analysis, synthesis, generalization and structuring of facts, modeling of the educational process. Empirical methods involve direct and indirect pedagogical supervision, questioning, interviewing of cadets, analysis of the results of the learners' activity, method of expert assessment, pedagogical experiment. Results and Discussion. The author suggests invariant components of the structure of this map: the part devoted to general data about self-guided work on the subject studied (aim, types of activity) and topic planning with step-by-step division of self-guided work within each topic according to the principle: form of study - self-guided classroom work and its outcome - extra-class self-guided work, its aim, its outcome and form of control. The invariant of “road map” includes the tree of references for targeted remote management of cadets' work. Conclusions. “Road map” of organized self-guided work facilitates the building of interconnection between classroom activity and extra-class work, specification of the purpose of individual consultations with a teacher and enables the cadets to trace down the stages of mastering the programme.
