Spiritual and moral education of students through the orthodox culture potential (Saratov region case)

The article is devoted the problem of interaction of educational institutions and the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in the education of students of schools and preschool educational institutions on the values of Orthodox culture (on the example of Saratov region). The work is subjected to objective analysis to the longstanding experience of the interaction of individual clergy and educational organizations, the Saratov metropolis and the Ministry of education of the region, the Saratov regional Institute of education development, the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in General and the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation in the potential of Orthodox culture. Analyses of opinion polls conducted by the Russian center for public opinion studies over the past five years, according to which the profession of a teacher and priest are some of the most credible professions of Russians. The article is based on the analysis of the statements of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Cyril, vicar of his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, Bishop of Egorievsk Tikhon (Shevkunov), Executive Secretary of the Patriarchal Council for culture on the state of modern Russian education, archpriest Sergiy Ksenofontov, full-time clergyman of the Church of the Descent of the Holy spirit G. Saratov, examples of specific joint projects of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan of Saratov on the territory of the whole country and the Saratov region in particular -teaching the course "basics of religious cultures and secular ethics" module "Spiritually-moral culture of the peoples of Russia", the popularization of history in the historical Park "Russia - my Story". The names of the best teachers, students and clerics, making the most significant contribution to the solution of the considered problem.
