In this article, the authors analyze the importance of establishing the concept of a healthy lifestyle in the development of military experts of different professional orientations. Joining the person to a healthy lifestyle should begin at an early age through regular physical exercise, carrying out hygiene procedures, formation of intolerance to the manifestation of bad habits (alcohol consumption, smoking, drug addiction, etc.), in further on this base the formation of the concept of «health» and his motivational components are formulated. Health care should be a value-enhancing motivation, shaping, regulating and supervising a person's lifestyle. Health is the main value of life; it is at the highest level in the hierarchy of human needs. It is an essential component of human happiness, and one of the links in the success of social and economic development. Health is the guarantor of the implementation of the intellectual, moral, spiritual, physical and reproductive potential. In this regard, the specialists of physical training face the problem of the need for effective management of a healthy lifestyle of students of military universities. On the one hand, it is the maintenance and improvement of the existing parameters of a healthy lifestyle at the senior courses, and on the other, - correction of the education of students of the first years in the direction of the formation of the need for sustainable leading healthy lifestyles by them. Therefore, the authors elaborated in details on the mechanisms of the harmful effects of bad habits on the human nervous system and suggested ways of caring psychological and physical health.
