Reflexivity and metacognition are interconnected due to the desire to manage the process of cognition and a critical attitude towards the world. The article describes the results of a study of the relationship between the differential type of reflection and metacognitive beliefs. To test the hypotheses, the following methods were used: “Determining the level of development of reflexivity” by A.V. Karpov, the “Differential type of reflection” questionnaire by D.A. Leontyev, E.M. Lapteva, E.N. Osina and A.Zh. Salikhova, and the “Short version of the metacognitive questionnaire” methodology. beliefs" by A. Wells and S. Cartwright-Hatton. The study involved 68 people from 18 to 40 years old, of whom 53 were women and 15 men (M = 21 years, SD = 4.05). The results of an empirical study in which Spearman correlation analysis was used are presented. The results showed that with an increase in the level of reflexivity, positive beliefs about the benefits of worry turn into negative ones, there are obsessive thoughts that focus only on the positivity of beliefs, and with an increase in reflexivity they are fixed only on negative ones.
