Influence of information on the formation of public opinion

The article reveals the influence of the media (the media) on the formation of public opinion on the situation with the example of the presidential elections in 2016 in the United States; analyzes the election results, the impact of mass media on the person. The authors conclude that the current policy of the US sphere of information is inadequate. Confrontation in the socioeconomic relations between the United States manifests confrontation in the sphere of information. In today's information world of the mass media sphere acts as the primary tool to manipulate public perception on the part of various influential forces. There are various forms of tightening control over the carriers of information (social networks, the Internet) by the elite, and consequently, the need on the part of the elite in diverting the attention of the masses from domestic problems by using these elites controlled the media. Such games with the public do not produce the intended result, as shown by the results of elections in America. US presidential elections have highlighted the discrepancy between the reality of "reigning" today generally accepted position that the elite controls the humanity with the help of the "fourth estate". The world is changing, should change and media scene. Especially important is the problem of differentiation of knowledge of the lies, and it is revealed in a new way, having the relationship between the knowledge and the existence of trust. Availability of public confidence in the government - the pledge of stability of the social system. This applies not only American society, but also the whole world.
