Taxis and adverbiality

This article discusses the issue of intercategorical interaction of functional-semantic categories of taxis and adverbiality. These categories have a heterogeneous field structure and are considered as functional-semantic fields. Within the framework of intercategorical interaction, in particular, intercategorical crossing (intersection) of functional-semantic fields of taxis and adverbiality, we identify and describe common prototypical contextual elements, which are aspectual-temporal-taxis quantifiers (adverbials) of various structural composition in German, English, Dutch and Russian languages.
