The article discusses the specifics of the relationship of Internet addiction, intelligence and critical thinking in a sample of students (n = 190), taking into account the level of their addiction. It was found that in the group of Internet-addiction students, an increase in addiction from medium to high is accompanied by a decrease in some indicators of critical thinking and intelligence. For example, compulsive symptoms and tolerance symptoms are associated with failure to evaluate alternatives, conditions of validity of judgment, and analysis of arguments. At the same time, in the general sample of respondents there were no significant relationships between the criteria for Internet addiction and cognitive characteristics.
