"Следы" прошлого. Аристотель - историк философии

Согласно позднейшим сообщениям (Синесий, Calvit. Enc. 22.85c, Аристотель, О философии, фр. 8), Аристотель считал, что мудрые изречения представляют собой «следы» ( enkataleimmata ) былого искусства ( tekhne ), сохранившиеся, благодаря своей краткости и меткости, даже после того, как породившие это искусство древние цивилизации погибли в мировом катаклизме. В этом отношении они представляют собой важные указатели, позволяющие ретроспективно реконструировать интеллектуальную историю Греции. Нам представляется, что с уникальным для его времени историческим чутьем, Аристотель предпринимает подобную реконструкцию, хотя некоторые современные исследователи не согласились бы с подобным утверждением. Статья дополнена переводом избранных фрагментов и свидетельств об утраченных сочинениях Аристотеля, прежде всего, из его О философии, О поэтах и О пифагорейцах. Во вступительной статье и комментариях я предлагаю ряд наблюдений, позволяющих судить о том, как Аристотель использовал свои исторические наблюдения в философских сочинениях, тем самым проложив путь к систематическим историографическим исследованиям, впоследствии предпринятых его преемниками в заданном им институциональном контексте.
