The present article is devoted to the interactive approach to teaching the English language, which means the teaching interaction between students and a teacher. Simulation is specified as one of the interactive methods. Simulation is defined as the way of reproducing real-life situations in English in the artificially created conditions. The author underlines a motivation value of simulation in developing a communicative competence.
