The article concludes the cycle of publications devoted to Orthodox biblical studies in the USSR and is based on the study of works published in “Zhurnal Moskovskoy Patriarkhii” (Journal of the Moscow Patriarchate) and in the collection “Bogoslovskiye Trudy” (Theological works) from 1982 to 1991. As before, the historical method is used- the correlation of publications with the time of the reign of the next head of state and the peculiarities of his religious policy. Te considered period is divided into two: a) 100 Христианское чтение № 4, 2018 1982-1985; b) 1985-1991. Show that the main body of articles appears only since 1987, which explained a radical change in the religious policy of the state. During the period 1985-1991, the articles examined text criticism, translations of the Holy Scripture, biblical and archaeological subjects and biblical theology. It also notes the publication of articles that are excerpts from books, the interpretation of Holy Scripture from the patristic heritage, and a significant number of pre-revolutionary works. Draws conclusions about a reduction in the overall scientific level of the articles and, in comparison with the previous period, a certain reduction in their number
