Бесплатный доступ

One of the insufficiently studied problems of ensuring the continuous growth of sports achievements of short-distance runners is the maintenance of their positive psycho-emotional state. The emotional sphere, along with motor and vegetative functions, takes a significant place in solving problems of determining new approaches to improving the effectiveness of the competitive activity of qualified sprinters. Striving for a record result requires high neuromuscular tension, often exceeding the athlete’s capabilities. This puts the psychological training of athletes to one of the leading places. The authors have developed a methodology for managing the psycho-emotional sphere of short-distance runners, taking into account genetic and culturally determined components. The results of the pedagogical experiment showed that psychological training provides physical, technical and theoretical readiness of sprinters for competition.
