The article analyzes the risks for family life of military servants transferred into the reserve. The risks are influenced by a number of factors that have common foundations for Russian families in the context of their functional transformation as well as specific foundations depending on the nature of their formation and development within a close socio-professional system. In this regard, it is necessary to provide social and psychological support to the families of transferred to reserve servicemen, for whom preservation of the family and stable family relationships becomes a pressing problem, as well as professional adaptation to the new social conditions. Specificity of military servants’ families is in the fact that they are directly dependent on the state and public policy, what determines the high importance of state regulation in the field of social adaptation of servicemen and their families. The author shows that the specificity of military families is largely due to the conditions of their formation and development, influenced by the close social system, which determines the uncontested acceptance of the values and norms of the system (the military environment) by all members of the family.
