Outline of patriotic education module for continuing education courses of the academic staff

Socio-economic and political conditions of the second decade of the XXIst century actualize the issues of patriotic education of Russian citizens. A key figure that exerts influence on the value orientation of students is an instructor who is a professional with active civic position and a patriot of his country. However, a modern instructor, who is very often the curator of an academic group, is not always aware about the system of patriotic education and not always ready to encourage the forming of patriotic feelings and motives to defend the Fatherland. The aim of this work was to develop the outline of the module content aimed to form the patriotic competences at continuing education courses of the academic staff. To conduct the research the methods of analysis, synthesis, classification, generalization, pedagogical modeling were used. There is no information in the literature on the problem of selection of educational content on patriotic education of students for academic staff training. The outline offered can be used in the organizations of vocational education as an element of patriotic education. It creates the basis to ensure an individualized approach to students and student groups to facilitate the forming of patriotic consciousness and the development of patriotic feelings.
