Problems and prospects of development of sports orientation and selection in the Republic of Yemen

Only in the middle of the 70-th to 80-th centuries in the Republic of Yemen due to shape in the years of socio-economic reforms began to focus on the creation of a system of junior and youth competitions for the selection of promising athletes. But recently there has been downward trend in the number of participants of junior and youth competitions at national and international levels, end to his sports career or move into the category of adults, and not showing good results. In our opinion reasons should be sought in the imperfection of technology of selection system in sports.
