The application of sulpiride in complex treatment of opiate drug addiction

Novokuznetsk State Extension Course Institute for Medical Practitioners. Two group of patients has been formed. The main group (I) - 37 patients with opioid addiction, at the aged from 18-34 years (average age of examined was 24,40±7,56 years), which in postabstinent state received antidepressants (amitriptyline 150-75 mg / day) in combination with sulpiride 400-600 mg / day for 6 weeks. The comparison group (II) - 26 patients with opioid dependence (average age - 25,55±4,56 years). In the therapeutic scheme of treatment the patients of this group sulpiride was not included. These patients received only antidepressants (amitriptyline 150-75 mg / day). In addition to the basic treatment the patients of both groups received a vitamins and nootrops. The identified efficiency of sulpiride, normalizing behavioral disorders can be regarded as an indirect effect of the main action of the drug on the emotional sphere.
