Obtaining stiffness property of Yusupov`s kinematic supports by Lira-SAPR software

The article deals with seismic isolation of buildings by means of kinematic supports in the form of “kinematic walls”. Characterized by reduced horizontal stiffness, such supports reduce the deformation of the building and the load on it due to its own displacement.The effect of seismic isolation significantly depends on stiffness characteristicsof the supportH(∆), which set the connection of the horizontal force H applied to the top of the support at point A with the horizontal displacement ∆ of the same point (Fig. 1).It is shown that a refined model of kinematic support leads to stiffness characteristics significantly different from those obtained by a simplified model of theoretical mechanics.At ∆
