Organizational and economic bases of tourism adaptation to crisis conditions

The crisis caused by the pandemic in 2020 has convincingly shown the need to find effective organizational and economic mechanisms for adaptation. Difficult macroeconomic conditions and forced restrictive measures have actualized various forms of state and regional support, market compromises between the parties to contracts and agreements. The article is devoted to the situational analysis of the tourism sector and the assessment of trends and prospects for the restoration of its key indicators. The purpose of the study is to study the consequences of the pandemic for the sphere of domestic and foreign tourism in Russia and effective ways of adapting the relevant market entities to the current situation. The research is focused on the sphere of tourism as a special type of economic activity, namely on the key financial and economic indicators of the tourism sector in Russia. The study revealed some vulnerabilities of industry enterprises due to the low efficiency of infrastructure functioning and an insignificant share in the country's GRP, uncertainty and unpredictability of market processes in the regions, insufficient resource and insurance potential for adaptation to the negative macroeconomic background. Some areas of support for the tourism sector were proposed, which will have a positive effect in the medium term.
