The article is devoted to the problem of increasing the level of economic literacy in our country. The author mentions the tasks that need to be considered in school education. Particular attention is paid to the task of forming the concept of diversification among students. The role of mathematics in this process is widely discussed. The author justifies the importance of including economic problems in various mathematical competitions. The author provides some of her specific tasks.
