Article is devoted to the 40-th anniversary of the Mathematical Faculty, Kuban State University. Mathematics Faculty is working to find and develop talented young. An historical overview of the work with gifted Kuban students is provided. The basic forms of the work with gifted students are described in detail: Junior Mathematical School, a branch of the All-Union mathematical correspondence school, summer and winter physical and mathematical school for high school students, mathematical Olympiads and tournaments.
