Thought as the basic unit of mental processes analysis

Psychology, having a fairly large development cycle, still cannot get out of some of the methodological stagnation. Having a wide variety of areas, psychology has no universal, methodologically unifying basic concept of the object. This object, on the one hand, should not embarrass any research school of psychology, on the other hand, refers to the fundamental, essential concepts of any science. Perhaps such centre of integration of the psychological directions and schools as well as psychological theory and practice can and should be the thought as the main object of psychological study. Modern psychology pays a lot of attention to the study of thinking, however, thought is not considered as one of the most important objects in psychological study. The article reveals the necessity and the perspective of a psychological study of the thought as the content of thinking and a significant component of all other processes, phenomena and states of mind.
