Methodological attributes of management

The article analyzes the definition of "methodology" in the context of various factors that make it difficult to understand it adequately, among which it is worth noting that the science of management is often presented and positioned only as a process of activity, without the process of thinking. The author's definition of the methodology is presented, which links the teaching about the management of thinking and activity on the basis of closely interacting attributes. It is shown that the methodology accumulates and offers a set of tools for solving problems and problems in any field of knowledge, including the field of management. Five groups of methodological tools are described: directive, creative, transformative, informative and evaluative, which have their purpose and content in the context of specific conditions for the study, construction and evaluation of the activities of various areas of functioning and development of economic systems of the "organization" type. The ontology of management science is shown which includes a set of attributes of all management science sections: theory, methodology, technology, as well as the main attributes of management practice. The novelty of the article is the approach to the formation of management science sections, the content of these sections, as well as some considerations for justifying their place in management for the activities of various types of systems in social and economic space.
