The author sets out the main provisions of their techniques medium-term (5-6 years, in increments of one year) forecasting the housing market of the city (region). The technique allows to predict the dynamics of not only prices but also a set of indicators of development of the «housing market»: supply, demand, absorption area, the volume of construction and commissioning of housing, taking into account the planned state of macroeconomic and sectoral federal and regional estimates, the ratio of market demand and suggestions at each step of prediction.
