Edutainment Method: Integration of Non-Specialized Game Applications into the Learning Process

Introduction. The paper describes opportunities and substantiates the necessity of using non-specialized game applications in the learning process of higher school within gamefication, computerization and virtualization of modern education. Materials and Methods. Analysis of teaching social subjects and humanities at universities (philosophy, political science, sociology, religious studies, professional ethics) with the use of edutainment methods from 2016 to 2020. Domestic and foreign publications devoted to the topic have been studied. During the research an interdisciplinary method of content-analysis of non-specialized game applications was employed. Results and Discussion. The author suggests the classification of methods of game learning, reveals the advantages of using methods of game learning in education, develops the algorithm of integration of non-specialized applications into the learning process while forming individual methods of game learning. Conclusions. The outcomes of the research are reasonable to introduce for improvement of the learning process in higher school to gain all the advantages of modern education with the use of information techniques.
