Cultural and educational space of a city as a pedagogical phenomenon

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the use of the concept of "cultural and educational space" in domestic pedagogical literature. The author examines different approaches to the definition of this notion, paying special attention to cluster approach in management of cultural and educational space of a city. Using as an example the experience of the city of Cheboksary, the author comes to the conclusion about the possibility of accumulating and effective use of significant financial and human resources within cultural-educational clusters, increasing the efficiency of each cluster member and providing synergic effect.
