Commented translation of classical texts as an example of an integrated lesson

The article discusses: the goals and objectives facing students in the translation of classical texts and the principles of the selection of them. The role of studying Greek and Latin in the prevention of extremism is shown. An example of an ancient text in the classical language and comments to it are given. Topics are proposed by discipline that can be disclosed when parsing such a text: comparing your own translation with translations into modern foreign languages, analyzing how the historical situation is reflected in a few lines of the example, familiarizing yourself with the author of the analyzed text as a representative of world literature.
