What kinds of historical sources dominated in N. K. Shilder's publications?

The article is devoted to the analysis of species diversity of historical sources in the publications of Nicholay K. Shilder (1842-1902), one of the famous historians of the 2nd half of 19 - early 20 century. His works, especially archeographical activity, has not been studied in the national historiography. Noting the introduction of them into the scientific circulation of large number of historical sources, historians did not analyze their species composition. Therefore, the aim of the article is to fill existing gaps and identify species preference N.K. Shilder archeographer recognized as the 2nd half of the 19 - early 20 century. The object is solved by a content analysis provided by front overview of all publications in which the unit of account is a document of any kind. The author set range of magazines, which houses historical sources N.K. Shilder, number of publications and documents contained in them, as well as their species composition. In article it is proved, that in his publications record keeping documentation and epistolary documents dominated and that distinguishes him from many of contemporary archeographers.
