The task of assessing the risk of occurrence, course and consequences of disasters through the use of models Geospheres state for the purpose of process control enterprises mineral complex. The purpose of using the models is to account the impact of the maximum possible number of environmental factors and to support management decision-making, including evaluation of financial risks. It is shown that the prediction of disasters but the ranking of hazardous components should include an economic assessment of technology resources. It is proved that the reduction of the risk of, course and consequences of accidents is provided by the use of environmental technology, using the properties of ecosystems and natural resources. It is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental protection by comparing costs of eliminating the consequences of disasters in terms of money and the cost of preventing their occurrence and development.
