Eponimic medical terms in Latin language

This article is about such concepts as “eponym” and “eponymous terms” in medical terminology and also about their meanings, methods of formation and classification. Eponymous terms appeared in XVI-XIX centuries and are used in medicine nowadays. Points of view of some scientists regarding eponymous latin terms in medical anatomical, histological and clinical terminology are discussed in the article. Also the article deals with the syntactic models of eponymous medical terms and the practicability of their use.
