History as a cross eschatology in Jurgen Moltmann's theology

Considered are the keynotes in the theology of history of modern protestant theologian Jürgen Moltmann. Designated is the problem of crisis of traditional meanings on the sense and purpose of history in the Christian theology and researched are the new approaches that were suggested in the Moltmann’s works. Surveyed is the genesis of ideas and methodology of the german theologian as well as the historical background his theoretical constructions. Explored are the two phases of Moltmann’s works: the early (eschatological theology of hope) and the mature phase (staurological-trinitarian). In the analysis of his earlier historiosophical notions which were enunciated basically in the widely known work “Theology of hope” determined are the basic definitions (promise, hope, future) and the main theses, which has been formulated during that period. Discussed are the problems of “present eschatology” and “sacramentological shift” that are conveyed in the “Theology of hope”.
