Using of health technologies in the process of first-year students’ adaptation to study at the university

The article presents a qualitative and quantitative analysis of diagnostic data on the psycho-emotional condition of young men and women studying at various faculties of the Volgograd State Medical University (VSMU). The research was conducted using a questionnaire developed by J. Taylor (Manifest Anxiety Scale, MAS). It has been proved that the use of physical education means for health and rehabilitation purposes (Bodiflex, Spiral gymnastics, Hatha Yoga elements, stretching, breathing exercises, point massage, Finger gymnastics, meditation) at physical education classes improves the psychological and emotional well-being of first-year students that is necessary for them during the period of adaptation to the new study conditions of higher education.
