As a result of the research work, the authors determined the crucial biomechanical characteristics of the javelin throwing technique that affect the overall result of the throw. The features of the setting and activity of the legs in the execution of the final effort are considered. The choice in the preparatory period of the basic exercises (throw different weights with two hands from behind the head) and stage complex-combined way of constructing cycles made it possible to solve following tasks: to combine the issues of development of the necessary physical abilities and technical mastery throughout the annual training cycle; to avoid overload of the neuromuscular system tossing hand; to achieve long-term and keep in shape throughout the competition period. The developed training classes, using biomechanically appropriate special exercises, made it possible to find new opportunities for improving the technical skill throughout the entire one-year training cycle and to avoid overloading the neuromuscular apparatus of the throwing arm.
