The article analyzes the results of diagnosing the level of readiness for professional self-determination of students of the 8th and 9th grades of educational organizations of the Perm Region. The author analyzes the some sociological and socio-pedagogical approaches to the definition of the concept of «readiness for professional self-determination», and describes the main problems associated with the views of schoolchildren about the professional structure of society and the formation of their own plans for continuing education.
