Forms and ways of realization of the right of nations and peoples to self-determination in Europe in the XVIII - XX centuries

The article is devoted to the evolution of forms and methods of realization of the right of Nations and peoples to self-determination and promising directions for their development and improvement. The author, the article examines the various forms and ways of realization of the right of Nations to self-determination in historical perspective, realized in the independence of North American colonies; in the first period of the French revolution; used in the creation of the Italian Kingdom; the independence of Poland and Finland; in the formation of the USSR, when entering the independent sovereign Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and many others. The article deals with the main ways of realization of the right to self-determination: self-determination through equal and free participation of all citizens in the choice of political and socio-economic development of the state, irredentism, secession, Association, integration, cultural and political autonomy. In modern conditions of economic and political development of a number of States related to overcoming the conflicts in which the national factor, acts as a catalyst. In view of this updated theoretical and practical significance of research understanding the various aspects related to the right of Nations and peoples to self-determination.
