The specificity of moral influence of the literature lesson lies in the possibility for adolescent to compare his own life assessment with the competent assessment of writers and to understand his approach to the world and person. Thus self-knowledge is realized through knowledge of others. The main task of the philologist is to be the source of moral influence. The paper presents some pedagogical methods used by the author at the literature lesson.
