Physical culture and health-improving movement in the USSR in 1920-1930

The study of the history of Soviet sports is a fairly new and promising direction in the field of historical science. An analysis of the state policy in this area during the indicated period makes it possible to better understand not only the history of Soviet sports, but also the socio-political processes that took place in Soviet Russia in 1920-1930. In addition, the study of the designated problems allows us to consider some aspects of intra-party discussions, the relationship between individual representatives of the state leadership. In a broader sense, this allows us to identify some facets of interaction between the state and society in a critical period for the country.

To correctly assess the impact of physical culture on the professional activities of University graduates, it is necessary first of all to take into account the importance and role of physical culture in the life of a person as a whole, regardless of their professional affiliation, nature and type of activity. It is necessary to determine the basics of a healthy lifestyle, physical improvement, and then take into account the characteristics of those who specialize in a particular type of professional activity, taking into account working conditions. Each category of workers has different health requirements. The article analyzes these factors in the development of physical culture.

The article considers the system of physical education, which actively contributes to the formation of a full-fledged personality with its physical aesthetic and moral virtues, which is a socially useful activity for the organization of leisure of people. It is shown that sport is the most effective means of preventive work of various diseases. It is proved that sport is a necessary component of human education in the psychorational plan.Special attention is paid to important social projects that are being implemented in Russia, they are aimed at introducing young people to sports. A variety of sports give impetus to the maintenance of health of each person and contribute to improving the vitality of young people.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that the wave of socio-political transformations that began in December 2010 in Tunisia and Algeria, called the Arab Spring, was a phenomenon caused by a difficult internal situation, as well as internal and external factors that triggered these events.The article examines the degree of influence of political Islam on the processes of modernization, geopolitics, as well as socio-political development, including the need to create a scientific basis for regulating religious relations in Arab African countries, which have become a source of instability. In this context, political processes in North Africa and the Middle East are studied. The processes of social and political transformations have influenced the political systems of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and other Gulf countries.

The article discusses the goals and objectives for the protection of family values in modern Russia. It is shown that the modern Russian reality can be characterized as an extremely complex and responsible period, the leading features of which are the formation of a market economy, social stratification in society, and a change in spiritual and moral foundations. Particular attention is paid to the socio-economic transformations of society that affect the practice of everyday life, as a result of which there is a change in social relations, including in the sphere of the family, family policy, as well as social protection of motherhood and childhood, since in the difficult socio-economic conditions of our time the most young families become vulnerable.

Research Activities of the Voronezh Society of Naturalists

The article analyzes the activities of the Voronezh Society of Naturalists. In November 1918, members of the Yuryev Society of Naturalists at the University of Yuryev (UOE) created the Voronezh Society of Naturalists, considering it a successor to the previous, founded in 1853. The revolutionary upheavals and events of the civil war adversely affected the functioning of science. The society suffered significant human losses part of the teachers left the city including parts of the white armies, the others died of hunger. Replenishment of the numerical strength was due to local scientific and pedagogical personnel.In the article, we characterize the organizational activities of the chairpersons of the society - prominent figures of science such as: B.I. Sreznevsky, N.N. Bogolyubov, B.M. Kozo-Polyansky, I.I. Barabash-Nikiforov and some others members. The main directions of scientific research carried out by the member of the Voronezh Society of Naturalists, are considered. The society made a significant contribution to the scientific, pedagogical and social life of the Central Black Earth region.

Results and Consequences of the First Russian Revolution in Russia

In article discusses the causes and consequences of the first Russian revolution of 1905-1907. The Russian revolution of 1905 played an important role in the transformation of the political system. For several years before 1905, and especially after the humiliating Russian-Japanese war (1904-1905), various social groups showed their displeasure with the Russian social and political system.Their protests ranged from liberal rhetoric to strikes and included student unrest and terrorist killings. A general strike paralyzed the country after Bloody Sunday. Bloody Sunday opens two years of revolution and fights with the government for civil liberties, justice and democracy.

Theoretical and practical aspects of the problem of state-church relations are now increasingly attracting public attention. In this regard, one of the most important tasks is to study the historical experience of the relationship between the state, the Church and believers, which allows us to use the experience of the past in the formation of a modern model of church-state relations. The study of the experience of self-determination of the Orthodox Church on the issue of relations with the state during the revolution of 1917 is currently of considerable scientific and practical interest.

The article discusses the situation of the Russian Orthodox Church in the United States. Particular attention is paid to the processes taking place in the last third of the 19th century within the Church itself, in particular to the issues of expanding the ethnic composition of the clergy, the gradual spread of Orthodoxy throughout North America and the increase in the number of Orthodox communities. It is shown that it is precisely these factors that determined the obvious need for revising missionary tasks, working methods, and the forms of organizing charitable and social activities.In addition, the dependence of the dioceses on the Holy Synod of Russia became increasingly unnatural, not meeting the needs of the development of Orthodoxy in North America. The appearance in 1870 of the first Orthodox jurisdiction in the United States objectively indicated an alternative to transforming the Aleutian diocese of the Russian Church into an independent American Orthodox Church.

The associates and opponents of the Indian politician Sardar Patel, as well as the problem of independence and partition of British India in 1944 and early 1945 became the subject of discussion among Indian political leaders and parties, with the issue of formation of a Provisional National Government in the transitional period from self-rule to full independence of one or more Indian states being the most hotly debated. In this regard, a number of negotiations among the countrys politicians that took place during this period at various levels - from bilateral meetings to inter-party forums - are of academic interest. The purpose of this article is to analyze the peculiarities of the approaches of the leading political forces of the country to the problem of forming an all-India coalition Provisional National Government in 1944-1945. The study is based on the fundamental publication of Anglo-Indian archival documents "Constitutional Relations between Britain and India. The Transfer of Power in 1942-1947" edited by renowned historians N. Mansergh and P. Moon, and on documents, memoirs, speeches, "A Nations Homage. The Life and Work of Vallabhbhai Patel" edited by P.D. Saggi, Mahatma Gandhis correspondence with the British colonial government and his conversations with the Muslim leader Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

This research delves into the progression of technologies designed to facilitate the shift toward sustainable energy and eco-friendliness, assessing their potential influence on both ecological and economic systems. By examining data from sources like Scopus and patent records, it pinpoints promising technologies, such as offshore wind turbines, carbon capture storage, electrochemical CO2 conversion, bioconversion of CO2, sustainable ammonia production, and cellular agriculture. While certain of these technologies are already making significant progress in the market, others are still undergoing research and development. The study underscores the significance of these technologies in curbing CO2 emissions and environmental harm, providing valuable insights for policymakers and investors. It stresses the necessity for nations to transition from fossil fuel-dependent economies and instead adopt principles of a circular economy, renewable energy sources, and environmentally friendly production practices. Despite its limitations, this research illuminates essential technological avenues for sustainable development and ecological transformation.

Social policy, being one of the most important components of state activity, should not only mitigate negative social phenomena, but also help the population adapt to new conditions, promote social support for reforms, implement positive changes in the economy, ensure social orientation of the population.For modern Russia, this issue today is particularly relevant due to the need to form a new model of social policy. At present, first of all, it is necessary to find a solution regarding the role of the state in the new social policy, its functions and interaction with public institutions.

The article discusses the historical aspects of creating a global Internet. The number of websites of organizations or individuals on the Internet today has exceeded 600 billion. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the Internet has become a global social phenomenon as a result of economic globalization, and not the development of technology as a means of communication. All over the world, especially in countries with a high level of scientific and technological progress, it is easy to notice that peoples interests have shifted from real to virtual reality, which consists of countless threads of cyberspace. The article also shows that extremist activity on the Internet has the following characteristics: justification of terrorism or terrorist activity; incitement to social, racial, national or religious instability; propaganda of racial, national or religious extremism; violation of rights based on race, nationality or religion. It is these dangers that should be excluded from the global network through the introduction of strict legislative measures of the state.

Social ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia at the present stage

The article analyzes the historical background of social service in the Russian Orthodox Church at the present stage. As a result of the analysis of the materials, it was revealed that the comparison of moral and ethical standards with the real problems of our time makes it possible to form knowledge on the basis of which proven decisions can be made to achieve social stability in society. A comprehensive study of the evolution of the social teaching of Russian Orthodoxy was carried out, in the course of which the main stages of its formation were determined; the factors and reasons that contributed to its appearance have been identified; the prospects for its further development are formulated.

This study analyses the relation between people fully vaccinated and mortality to assess the effectiveness of this health policy to cope with COVID-19 pandemic between a sample of 150 countries. Statistical analyses show a positive correlation between share of people fully vaccinated and total COVID-19 mortality in early 2022 (r= 0.65, p-value <.01). These results suggest that COVID-19 vaccinations cannot be a sufficient policy response to eradicate the overall negative impact of the new infectious disease in society. Although high levels of vaccinations in some countries, many demographic (density of population), environmental (air pollution), technological (equipment of non-invasive ventilators), biological (new variants), socioeconomic (health expenditures) factors, etc., influence the diffusion and negative effects of COVID-19 pandemic society. This study can provide new knowledge to improve crisis management and the preparedness of countries to cope with or prevent future pandemic crisis and negative effects in socioeconomic systems.

The article reveals the problems of creating the Soviet state system for ensuring the safe conduct of underground mining and mine rescue at the coal enterprises of Donbass in 1922-1927. Archival documents from the State Archives of the DNR, industry scientific journals, statistical reports, materials of economic and scientific congresses on this issue were analyzed.
