Далеко не всегда взгляды авторов, публикующихся в «Вестнике Евразии», совпадают со взглядами членов Редакционного совета журнала. Расхождения могут быть большими или меньшими; но пальму первенства, пожалуй, держит текст, следующий после этого краткого предисловия. Написан он итальянским исследователем, последние годы живущем в Казахстане. Возможно, данное обстоятельство как-то повлияло на позицию автора, грешащую, по нашему мнению, необоснованным ригоризмом. Придирчивый читатель может даже усмотреть в статье Фабрицио Виельмини следы пресловутой «теории заговора», в соответствии с которой мир признается управляемым и манипулируемым некими могущественными силами. Однако, несмотря на антипатию и к этой теории, и к чрезмерной категоричности суждений и выводов, мы все же решили напечатать статью. Причин тому было три. Во-первых, она представляет достаточно целостную и последовательную интерпретацию постсоветсой истории Центральной Азии под специфическим углом зрения. Во-вторых, текст ее, хотя и не свободный от журналистской полемичности и журналистских штампов, в основе своей является научным текстом. В-третьих, независимость нашего журнала, заявленная в его названии, предполагает, что он стремится быть независимым от любой цензуры. В том числе - йот той неявной-полудобровольной цензуры людей свободомыслящих, которая еще в дореволюционной России получила прозвание «либерального террора»... Редакционный совет
