Theology of education: a contextual search

By analyzing the approaches of pedagogy, culturology, philosophy and theology to the problems of education, the author formulates the need for the Church to have its own theological theory of education, which would rest on patristic tradition, the religious pedagogical experience and modern ideas in pedagogy. The author describes theology of education as an important field of knowledge for contemporary Orthodoxy, which seeks to study the values and world-view bases in pedagogical sciences and practical pedagogics.
