Статья посвящена проблеме нового направления в лечении ревматоидного артрита - биологической терапии. Ревматоидный артрит - наиболее часто встречающееся и значимое воспалительное заболевание суставов, прогрессирование которого приводит к инвалидизации больных. Новые возможности в современном лечении ревматоидного артрита открылись с появлением биологических агентов, которые селективно блокируют активность отдельных провоспалительных медиаторов и позволяют достичь контроля над заболеванием, замедления прогрессирования и улучшить прогноз.
