"Green" export of Russia’s to the European Union: problems, opportunities and prospects

The article examines the process of implementing the foreign trade policy of Russia and the European Union countries in modern conditions. Sanctions had a significant impact on this process, which determined a decline in the growth rate of exports in industry and indicated the need to increase sales of high-tech goods to ensure sustainable growth of the Russian economy and its competitiveness in the world. The European "Green Deal" requires the introduction of environmental technologies in domestic Russian production, which is involved in the creation of export goods. The article clarifies the concept of "green" exports, which is considered in economic and customs aspects. Based on the SWOT- analysis, the weaknesses of "green" exports are identified, and the opportunities and prospects for its development in Russia are determined. The study showed the predominance of opportunities over threats, as well as the potential for the development of "green" exports.
