Foreign criminal legislation on liability for smuggling of alcoholic beverages and (or) tobacco products

This article discusses the responsibility for the smuggling of alcoholic beverages and (or) tobacco products in foreign countries, as well as the specifics of the legal regulation of this responsibility. In particular, the main aspects of the legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic concerning smuggling are considered. The main differences between the legal regulation in Russia and other countries of illegal movement of alcoholic beverages and (or) tobacco products across the customs border are given. Proposals for changing Russian legislation are presented, taking into account the experience of other countries.
