The authors of the article substantiate that with a skillful change in the position of the organs of articulation (tongue, oral cavity, soft palate), the possibilities of sound attack can be significantly expanded - from accents to extreme softness with a wide range of gradations. The regularities of sound formation in the context of the theory of articulation when playing wind instruments are considered in detail; the features of its practical application are revealed, errors are analyzed. A separate emphasis is placed on the importance of the ear cushion of the musician-wind instrument, since the degree of its development and coordinated interaction with other components of the performing apparatus in the process of playing in many ways determine the level of professional training of the performer on the wind instrument.
