European modernism arose as a reaction to traditional norms and Chinese aesthetics, philosophies, and techniques have inspired European artists to explore simplicity, balance, and spirituality. The article examines the dynamics of the interchange between Chinese art and European modernism. The key role of this intercultural exchange in enriching the global artistic landscape is noted, implementation of cultural synthesis and expansion of the artistic vocabulary. The article emphasizes the importance of studying intercultural influences in the history of art.
