Detection of accident rates of cranes overturning on subsible bases

In this paper, an analysis of the accident rate of lifting devices such as self-propelled cranes on an automobile chassis is carried out. Lifting mechanisms play an important role in the construction industry. One of the causes of accidents is the omission and insufficient detailed monitoring of the condition of the soils on which the work is carried out. It remains important to guarantee a reduction in emergency cases of overturning of multi-ton vehicles. Possible loss of stability entails serious material losses, destruction not only of the machine, but also of objects on the construction site, where personnel injuries also occur. In relation to other types of lifting equipment, boom cranes occupy high accident rates. There is a need to identify the causes of the origin of accidents registered during the operation of boom self-propelled cranes on structurally unstable soils, this indicates the relevance of the work. The analysis of the situations that have occurred outside the territory of Russia is carried out, and a description of the causes is given, the analyzed data are presented in Table 1. Knowledge of the causes of accidents with overturning of automobile cranes on structurally unstable soils makes it possible to build proposals for the prevention and reduction of such cases at early stages. There remains a need to solve the problem of quality control over the selection of contractors and the performance of their work.
