The study focuses on descent and ejection of matter in the Sun's atmosphere, which were observed in the CaII λ 8498 Å line. In the active region (AR) NOAA 10792 on 30 July 2005 before the flare, the dense cold gas cloud descended at the ray velocity ~8 km/s and then ascended in the impulsive phase. The plasma ascended with the acceleration that ran to 0.4 km/s2 in the flare maximum. The matter supposedly accelerated after the flare maximum as well, because required acceleration was more than 0.5 km/s2 for the ejection to occur at the edge of the C2 LASCO occulting disk at 05:57 UT. The descent of matter that caused the local heating of the chromosphere was also observed in AR NOAA 10656 on 9 August 2004 before the flare. The maximum descent velocity was not more than 24.7 km/s.
