Polar research support tools: citizen science development through the ship-based tourism industry

This article is focused to demonstrate development of citizen science projects in the Arctic and Antarctica through the ship-based tourism industry support. The author's work represents polar guides, tourists, and crew members as citizen scientists who participate in collecting scientifically valuable data. The model of cooperation in the polar regions through citizen science is considered to be a perspective and useful method that helps to expand the opportunities of conducting polar research and increase knowledge about the remotest places of the planet.
