Reception of Benjamin Disraeli's fiction in 1870s as the political conflict reflection

The article analyzes the specifics of the Victorian novelist Benjamin Disraeli‘s fiction reception in Russia in the context of his politics of 1870-ies. In the article there is an attempt to investigate the phenomenon of Disraeli‘s popularity in Russia of 1870-ies in spite of his negative image as a politician. On the basis of critical review analysis, the conclusion about the interpretation of Disraeli's fiction by critics as autobiographical documentaries has been drawn.
