Education of economically competent citizen

This article deals with problems of citizens’ economic education. We analyzed the characteristic features of economic education in schools and reviewed the main challenges that must be addressed. Particular attention is drawn to the need for economic education of student. The necessity to introduce economically oriented elective courses was revealed and justified in order for student to confirm with or refuse from direction chosen by them for furthereducation related to a certain type of professional activity.
