The issues of verbal genres in the teaching of Russian as a foreign language

The article discusses the methodological complex of verbal genres in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. At the initial and basic stages teaching is based on the primary genres of everyday communication. At the advanced and professional stages mastering of verbal genres is associated with acquisition of the stylistics principles of business, scientific and artistic language.
